| Administration history: | Ab 1942 führte der St.Galler Fotograf Guido Gross gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder Hans den renommierten St.Galler Ansichtskartenverlag Foto Gross in zweiter Generation. Hans und Guido Gross begannen nach dem Flugpionier Walter Mittelholzer (1894-1937) mit der Erstellung von Flugaufnahmen. Daneben produzierte das Unternehmen Orts-, Industrie-, Architektur-, Porträt-, Reportage- und Werbefotografien. Ein Hauptstandbein von Foto Gross war der Handel mit Postkarten, wobei vor allem Flug- und Ortsaufnahmen gedruckt wurden.
Neben rund 10 000 Fotonegativen mit Appenzeller Motiven hat das Staatsarchiv von Foto Gross diesen kaum bekannten zweiteiligen Film übernommen. |
